Cycle Champions

I will be looking to work with disadvantaged communities typically under-represented among cyclists. Beneficiary groups include:

Womens groups

Disability organisations

Members of BME communities


Projects include:

Providing access to bikes - new and recycled

Training individuals to National Standards for cycle training

Training volunteers to become cycle instructors/mechanics in the community

Working with other community groups and organisations

Providing access to a central hub of resources

Providing supportive networks

Providing opportunities for social activities such as group rides

 

Schemes pipe-lined:

Re-entry group, Low Hill (Steve Scott)

SEN group, Low Hill

Youth Offending

Asian women group rides

NVQ cycle maintenance workshop, Aldersley

Work place challenge

Army liaison

Claregate community group
