Encouraging a Cycling culture across Wolverhampton
Welcome to this update from Wolves on Wheels.
The Protect Birmingham Cyclists Petition to WMCA Mayor Andy Street is currently standing at 5,300 signatories, and there's still time to sign!!
The petition will be delivered to him by a Christmas themed Slow Roll this Sunday 3rd December, expect hundreds of people along for the festive ride.
13:45 Gibb Street in the middle of the Custard Factory (B9 4AA), leaving by 14:15 pm cycling to Millennium Point / Eastside park (B4 7AP), where the group will meet WMCA Mayor Andy Street at 15:00 pm.
Festive outfits, lights, sounds etc are encouraged.

Next WoW Social - Swan, Compton - Wednesday 13th December
This is our end of year get-together with no formal business scheduled.
We shall be inviting other local groups who have an interest in promoting cycling.
If you haven't met us yet, or it's been a while since you have been to a WOW meeting then please do come along. More info here.
Wolves on Wheels Cycle Campaign objects to this application because of the inadequate provision for cycling, particularly in respect of cycle parking.
This is a lost opportunity given the location of the development.

79% of Birmingham residents, cyclists and non cyclists, support the building of protected roadside cycle lanes.
Unfortunately no West Midlands-wide stats ( one of our likely requests to TfWM! ), however interesting reading nonetheless :
Also some UK stats, two-thirds of Brits that have learnt to ride a bike say the biggest barrier to cycling for work purposes is feeling unsafe on the roads.

End of year get-together with no formal business, we have invited a number of Wolverhampton cycling groups to join us + David Cox from the Bike West Midlands Network will be coming over.
The 16th January 2018 forum will be in Victoria Square, it is hoped that from April 2018 the remainder will be back in the Members’ Suite.
